Wendy L. Martin, 66, of East Peoria, passed away at 6:25am Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at her home.
She was born May 1, 1955 in Peoria to Orie and Peggy Ransom DeBolt. On June 24, 1978, she married Dennis J. Martin in Peoria; he preceded her in death on January 25, 2018.
Surviving are her daughters, Natalie (Jay) Wendelin of Pekin, Leslie (Timothy) Peters of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Rex and Ali Jayne Wendelin; and Kessler and Colie Peters; mother, Peggy DeBolt; siblings, Ruth Ann (Rocky) Parks and Jim (Nancy) Austin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her dad, and her beloved dog, Schwartz.
Wendy worked for Illinois Central College for many years, retiring in 2014. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and traveling.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 1-3:00pm at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Inurnment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
