Samuel A. Cox, 80 years, of Honey Brook, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his home, while under the loving care of his family and hospice.

He was born in Nitro, WV on Sunday, June 15, 1941. Samuel was the son of the late Charles W. and Ellen M. (Shrom) Cox. He was the husband of Aleta G. (Watson) Cox, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Samuel and Aleta served as missionaries in Chuuk and Pohnpei in Micronesia. While serving there in the 60's, they taught school and began a Bible study that later became a church. In the 80's the church started a Christian School which he and Aleta helped to start. Then in the late 90's and early 2000's he was a college professor at the University of Micronesia in Pohnpei.

During his lifetime he was also employed as a Biology middle school teacher for the Coatesville School District and an insurance salesman for Nationwide Insurance Company.

Sam was very interested in the Sciences and especially Einstein's theories. In the late 90's/early 2000's, he developed his own website on his perspective of the Seven Dimensional Hyper-spherical Universe and how it actually supported the Bible and simple faith in God. He enjoyed camping with his family, water skiing, boating, airplanes and being a mentor to those in need of his leadership skills. Samuel was a member of the Great Valley Presbyterian Church for many years before moving to Honey Brook.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles R. Cox.

He is survived in addition to his wife, by three sons, David (Sophie) Cox of Lititz, Mark (Tia) Cox of West Chester and Daniel (Carrie) Cox of Texas, a daughter, Sharon (David) Ruth of Honey Brook, a half- brother, Barry Cox and two half-sisters, Christine Gray and Kelle Cox and a sister-in-law, Myrna Cox. There are 25 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11 AM at the Great Valley Presbyterian Church, 2005 Swedesford Road, Malvern, Pa. 19355. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church.
