She was active in the LDS Church. She led a very active life until the past several months bowling on three bowling leagues and volunteering at Primary Children's Medical Center. Our family will miss her famous chip dip, banana bread and other homemade goodies she always brought to family gatherings or had on hand when we came to visit. We will treasure the afghans she crocheted for us either as adults, grandchildren or as new born great-grandchildren. She also knitted many baby hats and booties for Primary Children's.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Del) Freeze, South Jordan; son, Bruce (Linda) Hughes, Cedar City; daughter, Christine Brewster, Murray; and daughter, Denise (Fred) Geissler, Salt Lake; daughter-in-law, Terri Worthington, Draper; 19 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Brother, Burt (Jean) Casper and sister Lenore Perkins both of Salt Lake. Preceded in death by her parents, 11 siblings, husband, son, Brent and grandson, Steven Peterson. We want to especially thank Dr. Musaret Jabeen, her nurses Stephanie, Consuelo, and aide Adam for their loving and compassionate care of mom. They were wonderful.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.). A viewing will be held from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2007 and Monday one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
