Sherri Lynn Stewart, 45, of Lake Lynn, Pa., passed away with her loving family by her side and went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on November, 12, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born October 3, 1962, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of James Elli, Sr. and Janet Sue Foy Elli of Morgantown, West Virginia.
Sherri was predeceased by her grandparents, Lillian V. Foy and Emory E. Foy, Lia B. Elli and Wendell V. Elli, mother-in-law, Barbara Ann Stewart and niece, Barbara Ann Stewart.
Sherri was a member of the Wings of Faith Church in New Geneva, Pa. She was currently employed as a clerk with the United States Postal Service at the Point Marion Post Office.
In addition to her parents, James and Janet Sue Elli, Sr. of Morgantown, W.Va., Sherri is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Donald "Sam" Stewart; two sons: Matthew Stewart and Wesley Stewart both at home; sisters and brother: Julie R. Strosnider and husband, Calvin Strosnider of Lake Lynn, Pa., James "Butch" Elli, Jr. and Kelly Morgan of Morgantown, W.Va. and Lisa Fields and husband, Ray Fields of Uniontown, Pa.; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; her father-in-law and in-laws, James A. Stewart, Sr. and family of Lake Lynn, Pa. and friends who will treasure her memories.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Viewing continues on Thursday, November 14, 2007 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Wings of Faith Church, Front Street, New Geneva, Pa. where services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Strosnider, Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
