Joseph Edward Oliver Jr., 73 of Panama City passed away May 10, 2021. Joseph was born December 4, 1947 in Panama City, FL and remained a life-long resident. He attended St. Andrew Elementary, Bay High, and Haney Technical Schools. Joe worked with Mr. Tibbetts at Panama City Beach Marina; he was later employed with the NorthWest Florida Research Center and Bay County Mosquito Control for ten years; finally, for over twenty-five years until his retirement, he was employed with Metric Engineering as a Senior Road Designer. Joseph married Judy Jenkins Oliver on June 17, 1972 in Louisville, Kentucky. Joseph had a wonderful sense of humor, loved fishing, was very artistic, and celebrated life to the fullest. Joseph left a legacy of kindness, generosity, and humble service to his family and friends. Joseph is survived by his wife Judy, his two sons Chris (Sasha) and Alex, his grandchildren Ava and Alyson Oliver and Peyton Dozier, and his brother John (Diane) Oliver. His parents were Mary Louise and Joseph Oliver Sr. He is survived by, Laura (Josh) and Evelyn Jackson; Cara (Devin), Bryson, and Ellie Frederick; Max (Cheryl) Hodges; Charlie (Tammy) Jenkins; Brian and Kevin Broummand; Jonathon, Nathan, Aaron (Jenna), Jacob, Cali, and Emma Jenkins; Ed Jenkins III (Jacque), Ed Jenkins IV (Francheska), Victoria, Isabella, and Anna Jenkins; Anne Digsby; Carol, Robert, and Phyllis Oliver. Deceased are Tommy, Ben, Alice (Nookie) Oliver; C.B. and Christine Hodges; John Warren Sr., Mary Belle Warren, and John Warren Jr.; and Mary Jo and Edward Joseph Jenkins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 13 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Panama City, FL, officiated by Rev. Kevin McQuone. Burial services will follow at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, FL, 32405. Honorary Pallbearers are the first responders of Lynn Haven, Dr. Christopher Rittman, and staff at Gulf Coast Hospital. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church in memory of Joseph Oliver.
