Sandra L. Moreland, 84, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon and Hospice Compassus in Lisbon.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
Burial will be Red Oak Cemetery, rural Tipton, Iowa. Stewart Baxter Memorial and Funeral Services, Mount Vernon is assisting the family.
Sandra Lee Reynolds was born June 2, 1936, in Lisbon, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Jilovec) Reynolds. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1954. She received her teaching degree from Iowa State Teachers College, now UNI and taught school in Olin. She married Ronald R. Moreland on April 25, 1959, at the United Methodist Church in Lisbon. She later taught school in Tipton and then worked as an insurance agent and a health care provider, always willing to help a person in need. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, visiting second hand stores and garage sales, where she would always find a treasure or two. She and Ronald enjoyed their cabin in Ivanhoe.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald; one son, Tony (Karla) Moreland; three grandchildren, Andy (Holly) Moreland of West Liberty, Larissa Moreland of Hollywood, CA, and Mackenzie Moreland of Lisbon; and one great-grandson, Oden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, one sister and one brother.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon and Hospice Compassus for their compassionate care given to Sandra.
