Cheryl was born on July 15, 1950 to Thurman and Edith Alexander. She was born in Creole, LA and was a lifelong resident of Cameron. She was dutiful wife, caring mother, daughter and friend, known for her love of life and for having a selfless and giving heart. She often would help anyone she could and expect nothing in return. She took pride in her work, whether it was helping her parents with their restaurant or volunteering for the families of her church.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her children, Rebel Darlene Venable, and Michael Skipper II, and a sister Donnie Dale Koch and her husband Alvin.Cheryl Darlene Skipper, 69 of Cameron, Louisiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

Cheryl was born on July 15, 1950 to Thurman Lotis "Plowpoint" and Tommie Edith "Beau" Alexander. She was born in Creole, LA and was a lifelong resident of Cameron. She was dutiful wife, caring mother, daughter and friend, known for her love of life and for having a selfless and giving heart. She often would help anyone she could and expect nothing in return. She took pride in her work, whether it was helping her parents with their restaurant or volunteering for the families of her church.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her children, Rebel Darlene Venable, and Michael Skipper II, and a sister Donnie Dale Koch and her husband Alvin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 20 plus years; Michael Skipper, a daughter; Jessica Richard and husband Kelly; grandchildren; Raven Abbott, Tylor, Maliyah, Kayla, Jozi and Ashley; great-grandson, Parker; two brothers; Tim (Brenda) Alexander of Abbeville, LA and Paul (Crystal) Alexander of Cameron, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private Funeral Service will be held at her church, Wakefield United Methodist Church and will be led by Mel Yorks. The services will begin on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 10am.
