Funeral Mass for Ruth H. (nee Schroeder) Moore, 99, of Willowick, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. Father Steve Breck will officiate. (Family and friends are asked to meet at church.)
Ruth passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Feb. 18, 1922, in Cleveland, she had lived in Euclid before moving to Lake County 19 years ago.
Ruth was a U.S. Army veteran and former member of St. Paul's Church in Euclid.
She was a retired employee of the Euclid City Schools, where she had worked in the cafeteria. Ruth had also worked at The May Co.
Ruth was the loving mother of Dennis G. (Kathie) Moore, Darlene R. Zele, Pat A. (Jim) Matala, and Debbie L. (Jerry) Trinko; cherished grandmother of Abbie Shibe, Connie (Charlie) Hubbard, Nicole (Mark) D'Arcangelo, and Megan (Jon) King; great-grandmother of Christopher, Adam, Michael, Alyssa, Sarah, Raymon, Casey, Grace, Isabelle, Olive, Alex and Reign; great-great-grandmother of Melanie, Anthony, Harrison and Rylin; sister-in-law of Loretta Schroeder; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde W. Moore in 1962; son-in-law, Louis Zele; grandson, Benny Barbera; granddaughter, Donna Lomardo; parents, Harvey and Pauline (nee Schaffer) Schroeder; siblings, Harvey Schroeder, Eleanor (Ed) Omerza and Lois (Ray) Stuber.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in North Versailles, Pa.
