Linda Ann Olson
Linda Ann (Norgren) Olson, 73, passed away quietly during the early morning of Friday, August 21, 2020 at Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center of Duluth, MN. Her body already fragile from the effects of dementia and diabetes became even more fragile when it became invaded by the relentless COVID-19 until it could not continue the fight any longer.

She arrived on November 20, 1946, the first born to Dougal and Doris (Hansen) Norgren of Two Harbors, MN. Linda could not imagine living anywhere else in the world. She loved watching trains, ore boats and concerts at the bandshell. She loved shopping and eating at her favorite spots like Bonnie's Clothes Bar, Ray's Shoes, Lauralee Department Store or the Sears Catalogue Store and Miller's and Judy's cafes. She was beyond proud to be a member of the THHS Agate Class of 1964. She spent her life recounting the many adventures and lasting friendships she had with her classmates.

Her love of high school chemistry drew her to the medical field where she became a laboratory technologist. She worked for many years at the Duluth Clinic 3rd Floor lab where she cultivated lifelong friendships with her coworkers, and she finished her career at Cloquet Memorial Hospital in 2013.

Linda was united in marriage with Leonard Martin Olson on December 18, 1965 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Though separated by nursing home cares and needs, they were faithful to their marriage vows for 53 years until the passing of Leonard at the end of December 2018. Together, they spent many years living in the little white house on the corner of 9th Avenue where they raised their most prized possessions, daughters Heidi Lynn Voss (Ken) and Heather Leigh Stillwell (Joel). Their life was no more greatly enriched as when they became grandparents to Anders, Annika and Amelia Voss of Duluth (Pike Lake) and Dane Olson (Two Harbors).

Though Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, she is survived by her daughters and their families, brother Larry Norgren (Minnetonka , MN), sister Cindy Norgren (Duluth), aunt Lucille Hansen (Two Harbors), sister in law Diane Olson (Two Harbors), numerous Norgren and Olson nieces and nephews and cousins from her Hansen and Norgren family.

It has been decided that no service will be held at this time so as not to jeopardize the health of others during this pandemic. The family will hold a private graveside ceremony to lay Linda to rest near Leonard, but it is their hope to host a memorial gathering once it is deemed healthy for get togethers so her family and friends may share their memories of Linda.
