On Friday, July 9, 2021, Debra Hollibaugh Myers passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Debra was born in Fredericksburg on November 15, 1934, to Earl E. Hollibaugh, Sr. and Ruth Larkin Hollibaugh. Upon graduation from James Monroe H.S., Debra went to work at the FMC Plant. During this time, she also attended and graduated from Mary Washington College. She then proceeded to receive her master's degree from the University of Virginia. Her love for history and social studies took Debra to Walker Grant Middle School and later James Monroe High School, she was a teacher for 30 years. One of her many professional honors was selection as Virginia's Teacher of the Year. Debra loved people and spent her time surrounded by lifelong friends. She was active in many social, civic and church groups and volunteered for several organizations. Debra was passionate about entertaining her many friends and family members. She loved to laugh! Welcoming all to her home, Debra never met a stranger. When she was not attending group meetings, playing cards, or entertaining she travelled. Debra was also a lifetime member of The Presbyterian Church, where she worshipped for over 80 years.

Debra's life centered around her family. She doted on her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dorian G. "Junior" Myers; her son, Dorian E. "D.E." Myers (Terry); her daughter Lynne M. Rawlings; her grandchildren Kyle Myers (Jenifer), Caroline Myers, Jeffery Rawlings (Jen), and Bayli Rawlings Hayes (Pierre); her great-grandchildren, Zoey and Sophia Lusk, Mia Rawlings, and Malia Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews; and special niece, Vicki Hollibaugh Mullen. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her younger brother, Earl "Brother" Hollibaugh, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 15 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 16 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A service will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 16 at The Fredericksburg Presbyterian Church.
