Linda was born on November 25, 1943, in Marion County, a daughter to the late A.J. Hammond and the late Agnes Hammond. Linda worked with the Marion County School District through the years. Mrs. Lewis was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving Mrs. Lewis are her Son, Jeff (Ginger) Lewis of Nichols; and her two Sisters: Meryl Cox of Nichols and Marie Elliott of Loris.
Linda was predeceased by a son, Wendell Lewis, and a brother, Austin A. Hammond.
A graveside service for Mrs. Lewis will be held Saturday morning, June 5 at 11:00 A.M. in Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. The family will receive friends following the service there at the cemetery. A guestbook is available at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.com.
