Joseph A. Lawson, 48, went home to be with the Lord on October 29,2020. His devotion to God, his family, friends, and The Clemson Tigers filled his life and everyone that knew him with love and light.

Joe was born to the late Hoyt Eugene, Sr, and Ellen Mae Lawson in Greenville, SC on January 9, 1972. Joe is survived by his sister Becky (Mark) Blume; his sister Jeannie (Clayton) Crittendon; his brother Hoyt, Jr (Elizabeth) Lawson; 7 nieces and nephews: Dottie Lawson, Mandy Stewart, Nicky Brown, William Lawson, Ashley, and Austin Crittendon and Matthew Lawson; 6 great-nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece; his stepmother Jane Elizabeth Lawson; and his best friend Purity Faith McCue.

Joe was a devout Christian and was baptized at Dunean Baptist Church in 1998. He was a proud graduate of Easley High School, class of 1991. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, watching wrestling, and The Clemson Tigers. Everyone that met Joe became an instant friend.

We will have a Celebration of Life at Dunean Baptist Church, 21 Allen St, Greenville, SC 29605 at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Reverend Calvin Holland will officiate the service.
