A funeral service for Douglas J. Wright, 69, of St. Louisville will be held at 1pm on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark with Minister Moses Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Fork Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home.

Mr. Wright passed away on July 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born on January 7, 1952 in Newark to the late Lawrence L. and Helen J. (Cook) Wright.

Doug served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a volunteer firefighter for Granville for 7 years and Mary Ann Township for the last 46 years. He retired from Owens Corning after 40 years and was owner of Wright Electric.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Wright; daughter, Linda (Clarence Williams) McCollum; son, Douglas L. (Helen) Wright; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Ed (Judy) Wright.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Wright.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd, Newark, OH 43055.
