Obituary for Frank Leroy Brooks
Frank Leroy Brooks was perfectly healed on July 11th, 2021 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. A Godly Christ follower, his smile and humor will be missed. He was born on March 10th, 1938 to Odell and Sudie Brooks in Freeny, Mississippi. As a boy, he learned the value of hard work, family and the love of God. He attended Mississippi State University and earned a Master's degree in Petroleum Geology. While working as a geologist, he met the love of his life, Dee Smith. They experienced life together for 52 years. Frank was active in his faith by serving at both South Tulsa Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. His humor and love of life was infectious.

Frank is survived by his wife, Dee; son James, his wife Carole and their children Hunter, Charlotte and Greyson; daughter Melanie Thayer, her husband Bob and their children Brooke and Carson; brother Robert Brooks and his wife Judy, their children Maggie Drobny, her husband David and Rebekah Simpson and her husband Larkin; and other extended family and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, July 15th 2021 at Park Cities Baptist Church in Ellis Chapel with Pastor Bob Thayer officiating.
