Jesse Everett Tuell was born August 10, 1869 to Beruca Jefferson & Josephine (May) Tuell in Jackson County, Indiana. He was noted as somewhat of a mountain man, and in later years lived in a cabin in the Elsinore hills. He loved to hunt, and often worked as a guide to some of the L.A. Businessmen. For the most part, he was a recluse. He never married. Uncle Harry once told me about Jesse and him shooting against Annie Oakley when the wild west show came to town. Both were considered excellant marksman. Jesse died in Elsinore on March 28, 1946.
