She was the wife of Joseph Dillard Miller. They were the parents of five known children: Lucinda, John McDowell, Nancy Elizabeth, Joseph Dillard, Mary and Phoebe Jane. Their first child was born in Gibson County, Indiana, the next three born in Hillsboro, Illinois, and the last two were born in Washington County, Arkansas.
