David Ernest Hudson, 89, of Lake Dallas passed away on July 8th, 2021 at Medical City of Denton. He was born on September 5th,1931 in Talladega, Alabama to Theron and Annie Mae Hudson.

He retired from the Air National Guard at the rank of Colonel. He taught Sunday School with his wife for many years. He loved to travel and document his excursions. He loved to also document holidays and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his sons, Michael David Hudson and his wife, Cy nthia of Tylertown, Miss., Jeffrey Wayne Hudson and his wife, Jodi of Lake Dallas, Texas, and 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife of 68 years, Mary Ernestine Hudson.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors on Monday July 12th, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.
