Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Holly United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith and Rev. Dr. Kim Strong officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with visitation following in the Family Life Center.
Mrs. Anderson was a native of Rock Hill and the daughter of the late Lewis Franklin Mitchell and Thelma Pearson Mitchell. She was a member of Mt. Holly United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in the United Methodist Women and COAP (Christians on Another Project). She served as church organist/pianist for 60 years. During those years, she also played for many weddings and funerals. She previously worked at M. Lowenstein and later retired from Springs Industries. She was the widow of James Daniel Anderson, to whom she was married to for 60 years.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her sons, Jimmy Anderson (Janet) of Boise, Idaho; David Anderson (Jill) of Rock Hill; and Tommy Anderson (Becky) of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Clara Crocker (Don) of Rock Hill; six grandchildren, Ryan Salamon (Amy), Shannon Hornsby (Clint), Ken Walker, Alex Anderson (Autumn), Katelynn Anderson and Sarah Anderson; and one great-granddaughter, Birdie Salamon.
