HAYNESVILLE, LA: Funeral services will be held for Mr. James C. Elmore, age 79, at Westside Baptist Church in Haynesville, LA, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Landon Robin, officiating. Interment will follow at Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville, LA. The family will receive friends at the church from 9-10, prior to the service.

Bro. James was born July 13, 1941, in Prescott, AR, to George and Lois Sheets Elmore. He entered into rest on Sunday, July 11, 2021, in Homer, LA. Bro. James loved the Lord serving at Westside Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. The joy in his life was his wife, Marie, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bro. James was preceded in death by his parents; son, Calvin Wayne Elmore; five siblings, Amos Elmore, Ricky Elmore, Tony Elmore, Patsy Cantrell, and Randy Elmore; and step-daughter, Georgia Browder.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marie Wallett Hardy Elmore of Haynesville, LA; Jimmy Elmore and wife Kim of Bossier City, LA; step-son, Steve Hardy; step-daughter, Dana Clark; sister, Betty Joyce Newman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Elmore, Paul Elmore, Connor Cloinger, Donny Camp, Mike Walker and Dustin Hunter.
