George Givens Ammerman, 89, died Wednesday, September 16, 1998, at Dover Manor in Georgetown. Born November 29, 1908 in Harrison County, he was the son of the late J. Kirtley Ammerman and Bird Lemmon Ammerman. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Unity Christian Church in Harrison County.

Survivors include: his wife, Sarah Gillispie Ammerman; four sons, Givens Lee Ammerman, James Eddie Ammerman, both of Harrison County, Gerald Joseph Ammerman of Georgetown, and David Wayne Ammerman of Michigan; three daughters, Judith Ware of Harrodsburg, Sarah Susan Ammerman, AL, and Connie Jean Horn of Cynthiana; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 19, at the Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home in Cynthiana with Bro. Bill Platt officiating. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana.
