Dewitt C. Perry Has Birthday GatheringAt the home of D. C. Perry last Monday was gathered a host of friends, to be exact, 56, in number, to be with Mr.
Perry and wife in the celebration of another birthday of Mr. Perry.
The writer attended a like occasion at the hosts home last year, and he looks no older now than then, though he is of course not in manners perhaps, but in age.
The out of town guests were T. G. Whitlock and family of Lewisville and E. M. Grimes and family.
Many home relatives and friends enjoyed a splendid social day, and a dinner like only Mrs. D. C. Perry can prepare.
A birthday cake, with candles decorated the center of the table and most every thing else good to eat surrounded it.
All came away feeling better and wishing many more happy birthdays for the host.
The Old Carrollton High School was named after Dewitt C. Perry, son of Alexander Wilson Perry and Sarah Shelton Huffman.
