A memorial service will be held April 17 for Elzira Grace Hoskinson of Eugene, who died April 10 of age-related causes. She was 92.
Hoskinson was born Jan. 25, 1908, in Riverside, CA., to Samuel and Lillian Tuell Allen. She earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Redlands in CA. She married Ole Hoskinson in Las Vegas on Feb. 2, 1941. He died Dec. 21, 1947
Hoskinson moved to Eugene in 1964. She worked as a teacher, a rancher and a property manager. Her interest included genealogy research and playing board games. She was a member of the Genealogical Society and belonged to Native Daughters of the Golden West 49ers and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include two daughters, Zira Kahl of Corvallis and Sarah Olsen of Eugene; a son, Ole of Eugene; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A great-grandson, Anthony Clare, died previously.
Monday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene. Inurnment will be at Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
