Ruth was a loving and proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved family gatherings, playing cards and fried catfish. She graduated high school in 1946 from of the School of the Ozarks (later became College of the Ozarks). She was very proud to be an alumni. She became an Avon Representative in 1971 as a means to pay for her home and debt. She won many awards through her 46 years of sales, her biggest reward were the many customers that became life time friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara DiLetto of Montgomery, Texas, Donna Magness and husband Quinton of Deer Park, Texas and Debra Moore of Montgomery, Texas; one son, Stephen Moore of Pasadena, Texas; one step-son, Elmer Davis Moore and wife Ann of Spring, Texas; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Latus of San Tan Valley, Arizona, Ryan Stevenson of Montgomery, Texas, Geneva Sherwood of Show Low, Arizona, Amy Magness of Austin, Texas, Joe Moore-Layton of Montgomery, Texas, Mark & David Moore of Spring, Texas, Spencer Moore of Austin, Texas and Jennifer Moore of The Woodlands, Texas; and eight Great-grandchildren, Dalton Murski of Magnolia, Texas, Breana Stevenson of Woodville, Texas, Dylan Pike of LaPorte, Texas, Jude Moore-Layton of Montgomery, Texas, Gustavo, Owen, & Gracelyn Sherwood of Show Low, Arizona, and Preston Latus of San Tan Valley, Arizona.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Jethro, Arkansas under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark, Arkansas.
