AYNOR-- H. Vernon Ambrose , 78, of Pee Dee Road South, died Saturday, May 30, 1998, at Conway Hospital following an illness.
Born in Horry County, he was a son of the late Arthur Leland and Mattie Page Ambrose .
He was a member of Aynor United Methodist Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Floyd Ambrose of Galivants Ferry; two sons, William A. Ambrose of Wilmington, N.C., and Phillip V. Ambrose of Galivants Ferry; a daughter, Janice C. Ambrose of Surfside Beach; four brothers, Jennings Ambrose , Bill Ambrose , Berry Ambrose and Robert Ambrose , all of Aynor; a sister, Myrtice A. Perry of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be held 4 p.m. today at Aynor United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Aynor Cemetery.
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
