age 56 years, died at her home of cardiopulmonary arrest due to a complication of a knee infection; graduated high school in Grand Rapids, MI; attended Asbury College in Wilmore, KY; graduated from Robert Morris University, Chicago, Il. with a bachelor's degree in business; as a Christian she was a faithful soldier of the Salvation Army where Sharon and her husband graduated from the School for Officers Training, Chicago, Il. where they became officers (ministers) in the Salvation Army, they served in many location including Iowa, Indiana, Michigan and South Dakota; despite her disabilities she was an overcomer who believed that her identity in Chris was greater than any pain or suffering she bore;

preceded in death by husband George (married 2003) and her mother Darlene Wrinkler, and sister Rebecca

survived by 2 siblings, not named

survived by father Lt. Col. Harold 'Hal" Winkler (officer in the Salvation Army)
