She was born March 20, 1952 in Galesburg to Lawrence W. Griffith and Patricia Joan Griffith.
Anna was a 1970 graduate of Galesburg High School. She was active in the high school band.
Anna was a graduate of Carl Sandburg School of Cosmetology and was employed at the O.T. Johnson Beauty Salon. She then started and operated Cut tin' Corners Beauty Salon on South Seminary Street for several years. She was active in women's softball and bowling leagues.
She married Michael A. Adams on Nov. 15, 1980, in Galesburg and moved to Tulsa in 1982. In Tulsa, Anna worked in retail for many years and was active in her children's school P.T.A., serving several years as president.
Anna is survived by her husband and her three children, Kelly (future son-in-law Craig Steed), Ryan, and Betsy, all of Tulsa; along with her father, Lawrence Griffith of Galesburg; her sister, Monica McGraw and husband Ed of Henderson; and her brother, Gordon E. Griffith and wife Chris of Lake St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
Anna got great enjoyment making craft items for family and friends.
She enjoyed playing cards and other table games and loved gathering of family and friends.
She was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first granddaughter in September.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Central Congregational Church, 60 S.
Broad St., Galesburg. The Rev. Jim Ecklund will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting with local arrangements.
