Arthur Stevens established Stevens, Inc., in Hot Springs in 1923. He was a member of National Park Christian Church, South Hot Springs Business Association, and a charter member of the Lions Club. He had been a director for the Chamber of Commerce and a Dale Carnegie instructor. He was the first president of the YMCA on Quapaw Avenue and a board member of the Ouachita Memorial Hospital.
In addition, Mr. Stevens was a charter member of the Melting Pot Genealogical Society.
