Donald Edward Berry, 75, of Coupland passed away peacefully, surrounded by the comfort of loved ones, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

Don was born on October 18, 1945 in Springfield, Illinois to Elsie (Angelo) and Frank Berry.

He grew up in the Harlingen and Corpus Christi areas of South Texas, and as an adult, was a long-time resident of Austin.

Don proudly served eight years in the United States Air Force.

Don was a familiar face at both Pickup Heaven and Jim's Top Shop in Austin for many years. An enthusiastic fan of car shows and car restoration, many weekends found Don proudly displaying his 1914 C-cab delivery truck. A work-in-progress 1901 Oldsmobile replica took up much of his retirement hours, and he was so looking forward to being able to drive his latest accomplishment around future car shows.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, and older brother David Berry.

Don is survived by his lovely and devoted wife of 18 years, Susie (Teague); daughters Donna (Phil) Green of Hutto and Tanna (Jim) Mueller of Pflugerville; grandchildren Trevor and Melissa Green; grandchildren Sydney, Carson and Tyler Mueller; sister Kathleen O'Tierney of Bastrop; brother Mark Leatherman of Manor; aunt Susan (Angelo) Buttrum and uncle Ralph Angelo of Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Providence Funeral Home of Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society
