Daniel Christopher Warren, fondly known as DC, went to be with the Lord on July, 9th 2021 at the age of 88. He was born on February 2, 1933 in Ashland, LA to Tandy Cade Warren and Rosie Lee Sullivan.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bernice Warren; his daughter Debra Haywood; his son Daniel C. Warren, Jr. and wife, Letha; his son Kevin Warren and wife, Jean; his brother Lavon Warren and wife, Lola Mae; his grandchildren Jeff Warren and wife, Annie; Brian Warren and wife, Kerri; Katy Thomas and husband Joe; Keri Norris and husband, Chase; Crystal Vosbury and husband, Damon; Tonya Coffman and husband, Tony; as well as 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. DC is preceded in death by his parents Tandy and Rosie Lee Warren; his brothers Albern, Winfred, Wesley, and Wiley; his sisters Sybil and Shirley; and his great granddaughter, Lily Thomas.
DC retired from SWEPCO as a meter shop superintendent and was a proud United States Army veteran. He loved sports and played semi-pro baseball. He enjoyed watching his favorite baseball team, the Texas Rangers, and rarely missed watching a LSU football game. Above all, he was a family man who was proud of his children and loved watching his grandkids and great-grandchildren grow up. DC was a long time member at Summer Grove Baptist Church where he loved his Sunday School class.
A celebration of DC's life will be held Tuesday, July 13th at Centuries Memorial in Shreveport, LA. Visitation with the family will be from noon until 1:45 with a graveside service immediately following officiated by Jeff Warren. DC's grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will gather following the graveside service at 294 Deer Crossing Stonewall, LA.
