He was born in Wynnewood, OK to Eugene and Eva Cook. He served in the U.S. Army. Jim graduated with his bachelor's and Master's from East Central University of Ada, Oklahoma. He married Sherry on December 26,1960.They raised three children. He taught at Oro Loma School for 35 years.
He loved the Lord Jesus and was very aware of how Jesus changed his life.
He was preceded in death by Sherry, married 59 years. Jim is survived by his children, Jim Jr. and Dawn Cook, Wendy and David Pedersen, and Peter Cook; his 7 grandchildren and Jessica Duong, whom he considered a grandchild, and 6 great-grandchildren.
