Ronnie Glen Foster

Ronnie G. Foster was a loving brother, uncle, and friend.

Ronnie Glen Foster was born on October 6, 1953 at Bogalusa Charity Hospital to the late Mr. Alton Foster and the late Mrs. Mary L. Fields Foster.

Ronnie attended Bogalusa Public Schools until the 8th Grade. He then attended Hammond State School and the Nelly Byers Training Center. He lived in Bogalusa LA for most of his life before relocating to Spring TX in 2013.

Ronnie enjoyed spending time socializing and laughing with family.
He was known for his bright smile, stylish shades, and caps. Ronnie always told the truth.

When Ronnie was still able to walk, he often checked his nieces and nephews on what was right.
None of them were able to escape his powerful grip or swat.

Ronnie also enjoyed watching football and sitting outside listening to the radio and singing.
His favorite musicians were Al Green and Johnny Taylor.
As he sat and sang, Ronnie knew mostly all of the neighbors. If he did know who was driving by, he would identify cars by the color and details.

As Ronnie became ill and had to be hospitalized, he would often let his sisters and visitors know they had been gone too long.

He looked forward to the surprises and treats that he knew were coming and greeted guests by saying "What you bring me?" Not to worry, if you didn't have a special treat, Ronnie would gladly accept "His Dollar" in its place.
Following COVID when visits were limited, family visited Ronnie's window while he talked to them on the phone. At the end of each call, he would be sure to tell his family he loved them.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents Alton Foster an Mary Foster, and grandparents Frank Foster, Euie Foster Roots, Robert Fields, and Inez Fields. He leaves to cherish his memories sisters Undrella Peters, Horaceteen Weary, half-siblings; Alvin Foster, Ricky Foster, Lydia Foster, Frank Foster, MA Helen Denmond, nieces and nephews; Orshell Fields, Ronald Fields, Willie Weary, Veounca Weary, Lafel Fields, Latorya Fields, Latishia Barnes, Salarius Magee, aunts; Alicia Mae Lewis, Kim (Steve) Banks, Velma Merideth, uncles Melvin Fields, special cousins Douglas Smith and Reginald Fields, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and family.

Thank you Perhaps you sent a lovely card, Or sat tearfully in a chair Perhaps you stopped by our house, If so we saw you there Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, That a friend could say Perhaps you were not there at all, Just thought of us that day Whatever part you did to console our hearts, We thank you so much The Family

A Special Thank-You to those who helped care for Ronnie at Park Manor Nursing Home, and all other doctors, nurses, therapists, aides, and family. We truly appreciate your work and effort.

A memorial service for Ronnie will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX
