Brenda Gail Hatley, daughter of the late Thomas Burke and Ruby Evans Burke, was born on July 3, 1942, in Oran, Missouri, and departed this life on July 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 79 years.
She was united in marriage to Donald Hatley on May 16, 1963, in Benton, Missouri. They spent a loving and memorable 34 years together until his death on September 21, 1997.
She is survived by her son, Darren Hatley of New Madrid, Missouri; by three daughters, Robin Patterson and husband David of Bloomfield, Missouri, Bridget Harmon and husband Gary of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Natalie Frye and husband Robert of New Madrid, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Amanda Pyland, Levi Patterson, Logan Drew, Remington Drew, Ryland Frye, and Cyrus Frye; and by four great-grandchildren, Abby Pyland, Wyatt Pyland, Kylee Patterson, and Asher Patterson.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Burke, and by her beloved sister, Jo Susan Wallace.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held in the Old Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
