Oscar J. Dawson, of Adamstown, died Monday at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was aged 87 years and was the husband of the Goldie Proctor Dawson of Adamstown. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ignatius Proctor of Pleasant View, Miss Theda Dawson of Pleasant View, Miss Nellie L. Dawson of New York, Mrs. Olive B. Wilson, and Mrs. Eleanor Anderson of Washington, DC; one son, Frank C. Proctor of Washington, DC; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Hicks Funeral Home, West Patrick street, Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Hicks Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in Fairview cemetery in Frederick.
