Graveside services for Gertrude Smith, 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Officiating will be Bro. Billy Pierce.
Mrs. Smith, a retired school cafeteria worker of Bossier Parish Schools, went home to her Lord and Savior on July 5, 2021. She was a native of Pleasant Hill, LA and a lifelong resident of Grand Prairie, TX. Mrs. Smith loved life, cooking, her plants and flowers along with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ross H. Smith and a daughter, Alma Davis. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Rose Cobb of Grand Prairie, TX; her grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis and Christopher Cobb, Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX; and her great-grandchildren, Violet and Leo Juarez and Lily, Esme, and Bella Cruz of Grand Prairie, TX.
