Leta L. Buck of Foxwood Springs in Raymore, Missouri passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City.

Leta was born on December 2, 1923 in Adrian, Missouri to Roy and Clara Finley. Services will be held at the McGilley & George Funeral Home in Belton, Missouri on Saturday, November 17. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral following at 2 p.m. Burial will be a Belton Cemetery following the services. Leta is survived by one brother, Melvin Finley and wife Verna of Raymore, Mo., and one sister, Fredia Buck, also of Raymore. Other survivors include a nephew, Mike Finley of Overland Park, Kan., niece Lana Pound and husband Ken of Peculiar, Mo., niece Linda Kay Hill and husband Steve of Raymore, Mo., nephew David Finley and wife Lisa of California, nephew Greg Finley and wife Sandee of Garden City, Mo., and the following great-nephews and great- nieces: Matthew Finley, Ryan Cooper, Zachary Finley, Alec Frank, Joshua Finley, Kellen Frank, Mike Pound, Chris Pound, Travis Finley, Lauren Finley, Olivia Finley, Davis Finley, Timothy Finley, Phoebe Finley, Annika Finley, and great-grandnieces Audra and Katie Finley. Leta was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Willard for 50 years. They enjoyed many years living together in Belton and traveling and camping at Roaring River and Bennett Springs State Parks. Leta could always be found in those places with her infectious sense of humor, usually cooking a hearty breakfast or frying a delicious meal of rainbow trout. She was also a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews, a loyal and caring sister, and a joy and blessing to all who knew her. She particularly enjoyed her many friends around Foxwood Springs and at the Dialysis Center of Belton, where she underwent treatment for the past several years. The family wishes to thank the Dialysis center of Belton for their loving and professional care of Leta. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either Southhaven Baptist Church in Belton or the Fellowship of John, 500 W. Foxwood Dr,, Raymore, MO 64083.
