Joan E. Evans, age 89, died Thursday, July 08, 2021, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born in Wynantskill, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Mealy Furry and the late Albert Furry.
She attended Sacred Heart School in Troy and Averill Park High School. Joan worked as a bookkeeper for a number of businesses through the years from manufacturers to medical offices.
She was a charter member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill. Joan was also a member of the North Greenbush Ambulance.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Evans.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail Upton of Fort Edward and Terryann (Robert) Berthiaume of Wynantskill, grandchildren, Kristy, Justin, Jay and Kaitlyn and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sheila (Ernest) Kern and nephew, John Kern.
Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
