Kay Frances DePriest Cagle was born on January 7, 1942, in Centerville, and passed away on July 9, 2021, at her home in Centerville. She was 79 years old.

She is the daughter of the late John Edwin DePriest and Anna Lorraine Rochelle DePriest.

She is survived by her husband Tommy Gene Cagle of Centerville. Daughters Tammy (Michael) Coalson of Bon Aqua and Beth (Jerry) Edwards of Centerville. Son Ed (Venita) Cagle of Thompson Station. Sister Diane (Wayne) Larson of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Grandchildren Kyle Rudolph, Nathan Coalson, and Hunter Rudolph. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

She was a member at Faith Baptist Church, and formerly attended the Fairfield Baptist Church.

In her working life, she worked for the State of Tennessee in the title division, taught and played piano, and was a mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Kay and Mr. Tommy were married for 57 years, September would have made 58. She and he were nearly inseparable in that span. Where one was you would see the other. Tommy says that she was not only his wife but also his buddy.

Her children all agree that if you knew Mrs. Kay, then you knew their greatest hero! She was the heartbeat of the family! A great inspiration to many, and an incredible woman of God! She never complained even though this world was not kind to her, was tough as nails, always had a cheer in her heart and a smile on her face! If you were needing help, she would help or she would volunteer someone else to help you. She was a worrier for all those she met, not for what you had or didn't have on this earth, but for each person's walk with the Lord. Her focus was always on the Lord and because of that her family can rejoice and praise God in this sad time. She was truly one of a kind.
