Kenneth "David" Wells, 62, of Greenfield and formerly of New Castle passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Russell Springs, Kentucky. He was born June 15, 1959 in Middletown, Ohio, a son of Kenneth W. and Shirley M. (Tinch) Wells.

He was a 1977 graduate of New Castle High School and later attended Ball State University, studying business. He worked in sales and could sell anything. David managed several 84 Lumber Stores in various states and most recently worked at Schreiber Lumber in Greensburg for 15 years. He was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church and enjoyed golfing, an avid Cleveland Browns fan and also enjoyed rooting for the Cincinnati Reds. He loved his family and friends, above all else and never met a stranger.

Survivors include his fiancé, Sharon Troxell; children, Ammi and Joshua Wells; father, Kenneth W. Wells; beloved granddaughter, Aliana Wells-Kirchner; sisters, Sherry (Jeff) Thompson and Winnie Roberts (Jay Tuvell); special aunts, Jean, Judy, Vikki and Shirley; an uncle, Ralph Harold Tinch; and several nieces, nephews & cousins and father figure to Bryce Clark and Jakeb Wells.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Wells; a sister, Toni Wells and a niece, Kasie Roberts.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition.
