Matthew Joseph Henry
September 4, 1990 - June 20, 2021
Elk Grove, California - Joseph "Matthew" Henry, age 30 of Elk Grove, CA was suddenly taken on Sunday June 20th, 2021
Matt was born on September 4th, 1990 at 4:10am at Kaiser in Sacramento, CA to Tina and Gary Henry
He attended Franklin High School and graduated in 2008 and continued his education at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento. He went on to peruse his passion and creativity in music/songwriting. Matt's passion for music started at the age of 14 and his first music endeavor was singing in a band. Their loud and crazy practices took place in our garage after school, until a neighbor complained of the disturbance. But that didn't stop Matt. He continued his love for music by working with various local musicians, collaborating on beats with other producers, writing his lyrics, and singing. He performed at many open mics and shows in the Sacramento area and surrounding cities. His love for music and song writing continued to be a big part of his life, and was his constant passion. During his last 6 months, Matt traveled and worked with producers in So. California, continuing on thru Nevada and Arizona with his final destination to be New York. Matt was a pensive soul and conversationalist. When he spoke he visualized his life and the lives of others with real meaning and purpose. That's why his vision was so important to him. Matt didn't reach New York but as his parents, we know God chose his destination with Him in heaven. We Believe God always hears our prayers, especially for our loved ones. We believe Matt is singing in perfect peace and harmony, hitting notes we could only imagine. Matt, you will be missed so much by your family and friends, but we will hold you deep in our hearts forever. We are thankful and blessed Matt was taught about God and Christian values from a young age. (proverbs 22:6)
Matt is preceded in death by his Grandfathers' Ernest Gutierrez Sr, Gary Henry Sr, and Uncle Ernie Gutierrez Jr.
Matt is survived by his loving Parents Gary and Tina Henry, His loving Brother Gary Henry and loving Sister Rachelle Henry, loving Niece Emiliana Meneses, Grandmothers' Andrea Gutierrez and Gloria Mijares Henry, Uncle Jeff Henry, Uncle Greg Gutierrez, Uncle Lawrence Gutierrez, Aunt Francine Cabrera (Henry), Aunt Antonette Gutierrez (Tabatha),Cousins, and many more Aunts, Uncles and Friends.
