James Junior Cochran, known as Jimmie J. Cochran, 95, Charlotte, NC, passed away at home June 20, 2021. He was born in Wileyville, WV on March 8, 1926. He was the only son of James Morgan Cochran and Junie Evelyn Poulton Cochran of Reader, WV.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 69 years, Wanda Mae Cochran; his son, James Patrick "Pat" Cochran, and two sisters, Neva Cochran Snider and Isabel Cochran Minges. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Marianne Cordillo; his daughter and son-in-law, Phil & Laura Coger, his grandson and his wife, Evan & Sarah Coger and their 4 children, Georgia Kate, Beau Parker, Landry Mae and Layton James.

Jimmie served 2 years in the Navy, serving in the American and Pacific Theatres during World War II.

Jimmie began working for Hope Gas company, which eventually became Dominion Gas. He began his 36 year career running heavy equipment, ending as an Area Superintendent when he retired.

Graveside services 2 p.m., Sunday, July 11, 2021 in the Cochran Cemetery near Reader, WV. Honor Guard will provide graveside rites.
