Jared Duane (JD) Peterson, 72, of Commerce City, Colorado, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lafayette, CO.
JD was born December 25, 1944 in Duluth, MN, the son of Iver and Viola Peterson. He married Dianne Lund on August 12, 1967. JD served in the Army in Korea and after separating from the Army he worked for General Mills, Inc. where he retired in 2005. In his retirement he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, tinkering with cars, and traveling with Dianne.
JD is survived by his wife Dianne, his children Brion (& Leslie) Peterson of Ringgold, GA, Heather (& Danny) Hire of Commerce City, CO, and Scott (& Alisha) Peterson of Northglenn, CO, six grandchildren, and brother, Lance Peterson of Tallahassee, FL.
A private family memorial is planned at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield, CO. The family is asking in lieu of flowers to make a donation to The American Heart Association.
