Bob was born on May 31, 1925, in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania to the late Scott Cumming and Sarah Hillman Stuart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Doris Beckwith Stuart and daughter Caroline Ruth Stuart.
Bob served in the Navy during World War II and went on to graduate from Kent State University. Bob had a long career in aggregate sales in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. He was a 68-year Master Mason, as well as a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason. A long-time member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church, he especially loved serving as an usher so he could greet everyone with a hug and a handshake.
Bob enjoyed hiking in the Warner Parks, golfing, playing bridge, the Christmas season, his country, and being with his family. He never met a stranger and loved connecting with people, spreading joy, and sharing a laugh.
Bob is survived by his daughters Rebecca Stuart (William) Rochford and Deborah J. (Steve) Pipes; grandchildren Sarah Rochford (Luke) Benfield, Anne Rochford (Chris) Morris, Robert Philip (Elizabeth) Rochford and Henry Stuart Pipes; great grandchildren Eleanor Beckwith and William Michael Benfield, Margaret Alice and James Aaron Morris, and Elizabeth Grace Rochford.
A private service for the family will be held.
