Douglas Everett Wilson, age 54, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at his home in Seymour, TN. He was of the Baptist faith. Doug enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite Nascar drivers, Bill Elliott and Kasey Kahne. He attended the Special Learning Center and DCI and worked at Dollywood with his brother, Bobby, for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evert and Irene Wilson; brother, Sam Wilson; brother-in-law, J.R. Parton, of Seymour; and grandparents, Simeon and Viola Henry, and Amber and Maude Wilson.

His survivors include: sisters, Peggy Stansberry, Betty Parton, and Linda Wilson; brothers, Bobby Wilson, and Donnie Wilson (Edna); nephews, Bryan (Jill) Stansberry, and Jeff Stansberry; niece, Cindy (Connie) Hurst, and Lonnie Trundle; great-niece, Kaitlyn Trundle; and great-nephew, Braxton Stansberry. The family would like to wish a special thanks to the staff at LeConte Medical Center, Parkwest, and Amedisys Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour, 122 Peacock Ct., Seymour, TN 37865 (865) 577-2807, to help benefit the family.
