Kenneth is survived by his wife, JoAnn Day; his children, Deborah Lees and Tamorah Baker; his grandchildren; Jessica Crume (35) (Brandon), Trista Davis (25) (Mitchell), Kelsey Baker (18), and his great-grandchildren, Alayna Rippy (18), Gage Crume (8), Easton Crume (7), and Brighton Davis (5).
Kenneth was born on October 25, 1922 in Wabash, Indiana to John and Carrie Day. After graduation, Kenneth served in the United States Army during WW2. On July 20, 1963, he married JoAnn Friemann. On February 7th, 1964 and February 3rd, 1965 respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful daughters. He retired from Peru Utilities where he worked for approximately 25 years.
Kenneth enjoyed traveling with his family. He and JoAnn spent their winters in Texas after retirement. He had a passion for the outdoors and took great pride in his flowers and gardening, he also loved taking daily walks with his beloved dogs. Kenneth was known by many for his large collection of clown décor and his "clown room." He was a kind and generous man, you would never leave his house empty handed. Kenny was loving, caring and compassionate, and above all, was devoted to his family. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 1pm. Burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, Indiana. Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
