NAPPANEE. - Judson K. Mellott, 83, died Thursday at 8:30 p. m. in his home, 605 East Centennial street, after a three months' illness. He was born Jan. 10, 1853, the son of Charles and Esidiah Truex Mellott. His first wife died Nov. 20, 1891, and he married Rosetta Swihart, Oct. 1906. She died March 28, this year. He is survived by three step-children, Earl Swihart, Inlay, Mich.; Niles Swihart and Mrs. John Housouer, both of Nappanee; two brothers, Benjamin and Charles Mellott, both of Napleon, Mich., four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held today at 2 p. m. in the home with Rev. John Skinner, pastor of the Elkhart Baptist church officiating, assisted by Rev. H. D. Emmert, pastor of the local Church of the Brethren. Mr. Mellott was a member of the Primitive Baptist church.
