Mr. Dixon, who died Friday, was born in Almena, Kansas. He was a Spokane-area resident for 53 years.
He operated a grain elevator in Spangle for 25 years before his retirement in 1984.
Mr. Dixon was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ada L. Dixon, at the home; one daughter, Cheryl Dixon of Spokane; one son, Ronnie Dixon of Spokane; three sisters, Geneva Altman and Margaret Underwood, both of Spokane, and Eileen Cramer of Almena, Kansas; one brother, Donald Dixon of Ridgecrest, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
