Sandi graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School in 1967. She married her high school sweetheart Donnie Alexander and they were married for forty four years. Sandi was a loving daughter, wife, mother and Nana. She adored her husband and often referred to him as "my Donnie." She traveled with her husband during his time in the military, raised three children, was a girl scout troop leader and later worked as a book keeper. Sandi always had a smile on her face, loved to tell jokes whether it was a quick remark or a funny joke. There was nothing better than a conversation with Sandi. It never mattered where she was, she always started a conversation with people she came across, Sandi never met a stranger.
Sandi was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Alexander and both of her parents. She is survived by her children, Douglas Alexander, Lisa Alexander and David Alexander (Amy); grandchildren, Whitney Winkler, Dillon Alexander, Dakota Alexander, Justin Alexander and Harper Alexander.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday July 12, 2021 at 9 a.m. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Alexander, Dillon Alexander, Dakota Alexander, Justin Alexander, Eddie Montalvo and Alan Trochta. John McAllister will be officiating the service.
Sandi will be missed but not forgotten. Let us take this time to celebrate her life like she would want us too. May she rest in paradise.
