Cedar Rapids Gazette Thursday June 19, 1952
A.L. Bright, a former resident of Marion and the Springville vicinity, died at Oildale, Calif., at 8 a.m. Wednesday. He was born Feb. 22, 1872, at Barnsville, Ohio, and was married to Emma C. Olinger at Cedar Rapids. Mr. and Mrs. Bright moved to California in 1946.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. C.V. Anderson, and Mrs. Jack McVay, both of Oildale, two sons, Clifford Bright of Oildale and George E. Bright of Springville; also a brother, Jesse Bright of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and 14 grandchildren.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church at Marion.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of Memories in Cedar Memorial, at a time to be announced later.
