She was born October 2, 1938 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Ernest Robert and Evelyn Jewel (Parker) Thompson.
Laura attended Community Church in West Fork.
She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, life member of the 7th of the 17th Calvary Association.
She loved to paint, bake for church bake sales and volunteering at the VA Hospital.
She owned Somewhere in Time Resale Shop.
Laura had a great passion for giving and caring for others.
She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Wise, Jr. of the home; son, Robert C. Wise III (and wife, Danalee) of West Fork; two daughters, Cheryl Janas (and husband, Marvin) of Farmington and Mary Smith (and husband, Calvin) of Winslow; brother, Robert Thompson (and wife, Kitty) of Jonesboro; two sisters, Wilma Weston (and husband, Fred) of Springdale and Linda Barker (and husband, Willis) of Boise, Idaho; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2021 at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Pastor Earl Corder officiating.
Interment will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
