Jeanette Louise Anderson, 90, passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2021. She was the former Jeanette Mehling, born in Louisville on March 2, 1931.
Jeanette was an avid dancer her entire life and was a member of The Rockerettes, a tap-dancing troupe comprised of senior ladies that shared her enthusiasm for dance. She was also an active member of the American Legion Highland Post 201 Ladies' Auxiliary and belonged to St. Rita Catholic Church for over 30 years. She retired from Stallings and Stallings Law Firm after 39 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Norbert Leveronne and James Anderson. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son Joseph Adams; brother Charles Mehling; son-in-law James Jamison, Jr. and two step-sons John and Mike Anderson.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Stephen Adams (Millie Zumstein), Anthony Leveronne and Michael Leveronne; daughters, Lynne Marie Gritton (Lynn), Marianne Jamison and Lorraine Leveronne; step-son, James Anderson, Jr. (Pat); daughter-in-law, Anita Anderson; sisters-in-law, Ann Mary Mehling and Betty Bagley; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 12th at 10 a.m. from St. Rita Church, 8709 Preston Highway, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, July 11th.
